Let’s face it, part of getting older is skin aging causing wrinkling and sagging. When the first fine lines and wrinkles appear, it is time to panic and start buying anything on the market that promises to get rid of the fine lines and wrinkles, all the different anti aging creams and anti wrinkle creams. The science of skin aging, would say that the damage is done by the time lines and wrinkles appear, and anything used topically would be for the purpose of reducing the appearance, but not making them go away, unless done surgically. This is where many people go looking for the fountain of youth.

Skin aging progresses and starts in the early years, with over-exposure to the sun, and climates of dry, cold winters, and hot summers and all the external elements that cause oxidants to attack the skin cells and accelerate the fat stores in cells, that hold the vitamins and hydration to keep them appearing plump. Once the fat stores are reduced, they start to shrivel and dry and do not reproduce new cell growth as quickly. The turnover of cells slows, to where the outer layer of skin is composed of older, more weathered cells. These older cells appear dull, lack a glow, and facial muscle contractions have started forming intense wrinkles in the form of smile lines, frown lines, brow lines, crow’s feet and general sagging from the beginning breakdown of facial muscles, and many rush to the aid of anti-aging creams and anti wrinkle creams to help reduce the appearances.

The best preventions for aging skin are Limit Sun exposure, especially in the hottest parts of the day; always use sun block to limit UV ray exposure when you are in the sun. Use Sunglasses, to help block UV rays and protect the fine skin in the eye area. Avoid Tanning Beds, these use UV rays to accelerate tanning, and are worse than regular sun exposure, as they do not provide the natural nutrients or benefits derived from sunlight. Eat a healthy diet, rich in fruits and vegetables and high in antioxidants, which help promote healthy cell production and eliminate toxins. Take vitamins and supplements such as Vitamin A, C and E, which promote healthy skin cell growth. Don’t smoke, for many health reasons, but for skin, the oxidants produced by smoking slow skin cell turnover and the repetitive facial gestures, such as pursing lips cause fine lines and wrinkles.

Using Antioxidant enriched skin care products will promote hydrating of cells, keeping them plump and young looking. Focus on your eye area with skin care as this is usually where aging begins to show first with puffiness and fine lines. Use Retinol A products that remove dead, dry skin cells. They are usually found in the form of chemical peels.

These hints will help prevent premature aging, along with the use of anti aging creams and anti wrinkle creams. Don’t wait until you start seeing the signs to start preventing aging skin symptoms.
